A strange campaign
Sandpoint, Light of the Lost Coast
- Those who head north from Magnimar along the rocky coastline quickly fi nd themselves
in a peculiar country. Fog drapes the rolling landscape, floating spectrally along damp
and lonely moors. Small woodlands grace the region, their tangled depths redolent of
nettles and pepperwood and pine sap, while further inland, river valleys lined by majestic
redwoods wind between ragged tors and limestone escarpments. This vastness and
the sense of isolation have earned the region its local name. This is the Lost Coast.
estled among the rough limestone outcroppings of the Lost Coast, Sandpoint is an oasis of civilization. Originally settled by Magnimarians seeking fresh farmland and new business opportunities, this small town has since grown into much more than just a pastoral outgrowth of its cosmopolitan sovereign city. A variety of industries, a high degree of religious tolerance, and mysterious archaeological sites keep a steady influx of both laborers and explorers arriving at Sandpoint’s threshold.
